About Your Photographer

Cal
My name's Cal Colborne and I'm a third generation Professional Photographer.

My grandfather, Ed Rowe, was a professional photographer for the New York Central Railroad where he photographed publicity photos of trains and the people traveling on them. Many of his photos were seen in national magazines, including National Geographic and Life.  My father, Don Colborne, was a newspaper photojournalist and war correspondent.  I grew up with 2 masters of the art and science of photography.

Like most kids, I thought I should do something else, so I obtained a Master's Degree in Visual Arts specializing in Human Perception, and went on to obtain a Doctorate in Psychology, supporting my efforts along the way, by photographing weddings.

I worked as a commercial photographer doing fashion and catalogue work and taught photographic art at both college and university levels.  I also conducted many professional education seminars for other professional photographers.

Throughout that time I continued to photograph weddings and for the last 12 years or so Weddings have been my special professional focus.

I'm a romantic at heart and since a wedding is one of life's very special events, filled with happy people, I consider myself fortunate to be part of this every week!

So if you'd like your special day photographed by someone who not only has a passion for photography, but truly enjoys weddings, give me a call or Email me.

I'll be honoured to work with you to make your wedding a very special moment for all time.
